Shaun King Heads to Harvard
New York Daily News writer Shaun King, the Black Lives Matter activist who is the outlet’s Senior Justice Writer, is leaving the news organization to become a writer-in-residence at the Harvard University-based Fair Punishment Project. The 37-year-old Morehouse grad says he is incredibly excited about the team he’ll be working with and the change he’ll bring to the justice system. The Fair Punishment Project is a joint initiative of Harvard Law School’s Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race & Justice and its Criminal Justice Institute, the Accountable Justice Collaborative (at The Advocacy Fund), and the Bronx Defenders.
