Politico has hired Bianca Quilantan and Matthew Choi as Web Producers. Quilantan was most recently an Education Reporter/intern at Politico, where she helped produce specific policy news and analysis for Politico’s Education Pro newsletter. Prior to that, she was a Weekend Reporter for the Chico Enterprise-Record, where she wrote narrative features and daily updates. Quilantan previously worked for the Associated Press as a Midterm Elections Stringer -- where she covered Butte County, CA elections -- and has written stories for the Austin-American StatesmanChronicle of Higher Education, and ChicoSol. The 2018 California State University at Chico graduate is fluent in English and Spanish. Choi most recently was a breaking news editorial intern at Politico, where he pitched and wrote breaking news on Congress, Donald Trump, and national political news. Prior to that, the 2018 Northwestern University graduate was a Reporting Fellow at the Texas Tribune, where he reported on border control, health care, consumer finance, hurricane relief, and state politics. More about them here
