Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Announces Next President and CEO
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) today announced Marco A. Davis as its next President and CEO. Davis is currently a Partner at New Profit -- a nonprofit venture philanthropy fund -- where he serves as the organizational lead on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The NYC-area native is the son of a Jamaican father and a Mexican mother. He served in various roles during the Obamaadministration including as Deputy Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, where he worked to increase opportunities and improve outcomes in education for Hispanics of all ages. Davis also served as the Director of Public Engagement for the Corporation for National and Community Service, where he oversaw and managed the president’s call to service initiative, United We Serve. Before working in the Obama administration, he served as the Director of Global Fellowship and Regional Manager for Latin America at Ashoka’s Youth Venture, and was the Director of Leadership Development at UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza). The 1992 Yale University graduate is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and is fluent in English and Spanish.
