The Wing Names New General Counsel
The Wing -- a female co-working space collective and club with offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, DC, and San Francisco -- has hired Saumya Manohar as General Counsel, where she will consult and strategize with executives on all legal matters related to the company. Manohar most recently was the VP of Legal of the global sleep company Casper, where she also served as Corporate Counsel. Prior to that, Manohar was the Director of Business and Legal Affairs at the venture capital firm Betaworks, and before that, served as Director of Business Operations and General Counsel at the game development company Katapult. She practiced law at several firms, including as a Corporate Associate at Gunderson Dettmer; Litigation Associate at Friedman Kaplan Seiler and Adelman LLP; and Litigation Associate at Mayer Brown, and also served as a Law Clerk under the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Betty Binns Fletcher. The 2005 Cornell University graduate holds a law degree from Yale University. More here.
