Sabrina Siddiqui has added a new gig to her repertoire -- she’s now a CNN Contributor. Siddiqui is currently a Political Reporter for The Guardian US, where she covers the Trump administration, national politics, and the White House. The trilingual reporter -- who is fluent in English, Urdu, and Italian -- was previously a Congressional Reporter at HuffPost, where she also covered the White House and the 2012 presidential race. The Northwestern University graduate began her career in journalism working on the White House desk at Bloomberg News. Astead Herndon is also joining CNN as a Contributor and Political Analyst. Herndon is currently a National Politics Reporter for The New York Times, where he covers campaigns, the White House, and the 2020 presidential election. He was previously a Political Reporter and City Hall Reporter for The Boston Globe, where he covered the White House with a particular focus on how the president’s policies and rhetoric affect communities outside the Beltway. Herndon said he "looks forward to bringing my political reporting to a new medium, and reaching audiences who care about what's set to be a historic election. It is not lost on me that this is another opportunity to highlight the concerns of communities who have been historically marginalized from traditional political class." The Chicago native graduated from Marquette University in 2015
