Walt Disney Names CVS Exec to Board of Directors
The Walt Disney Company has named Derica W. Rice to its Board of Directors. Rice is currently the EVP of CVS Health and President of its pharmacy benefits management business, CVS Caremark. In that role, he leads sales and account management, operations, mail service pharmacy, and specialty pharmacy. He also manages CVS Caremark’s strategy, new business development, client relationship management, and retention. Prior to joining CVS, Rice spent 27 years at global pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, where he helped drive the company’s innovation strategy and held numerous roles in finance and operations including as EVP of Global Services, CFO for Lilly Canada, General Manager, SVP, and more. He joined Eli Lilly in 1990 as an International Treasury Associate. Rice currently sits on the Board of Directors of Clarian Health North and the Center for Leadership Development, the Board of Governors of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the Indiana University Board of Trustees.
