Herschel Walker and Dr. Oz Among Group Nominated to Join WH Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition
Donald Trump has announced his nominees to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition (PCSFN), a part of the Office of Public Health and Science under the Department of Health and Human Services, which aims to engage, educate, and empower all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition. Former NY Yankee Mariano Rivera and former NFL running back Herschel Junior Walker were nominated to serve as Co-Chairs and members of the PCSFN for two years. Other nominees of color to the Council included Former Major League Baseball player Johnny Damon; and cardiologist and TV personality Mehmet “Dr. Oz” Oz. Additional notables included Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor as the third Co-Chair and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, The Hulk actor and bodybuilder Louis Ferrigno, and former Congresswoman Nan A.S.
