Ana Navarro on Friday joined The View for her first official appearance as an official co-host. The 46-year-old will fill in for Whoopi Goldberg, who doesn't work on Fridays. She joins Joy Behar, Meghan McCain, Sunny Hostin, and Abby Huntsman. The Nicaraguan-born immigrant has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, despite identifying as a Republican. The 1993 University of Miami graduate earned her law degree from St. Thomas University. She served as the National Hispanic Co-Chair for then-Gov. Jon Huntsman’s 2012 campaign, and as National Co-Chair of the Hispanic Advisory Council and a national surrogate for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. In 2001, she served as Ambassador to the United Nation’s Human Rights Commission. In 1997, she was a Special Advisor to the Government of Nicaragua. She also served on FL Governor Jeb Bush’s transition team and served as his first Director of Immigration Policy in the Executive Office of the Governor.
