Gil Cisneros Ends GOP Reign in Orange County
The GOP’s hold in Orange County, CA appears to be over after philanthropist Gil Cisneros was officially declared the winner in California’s 39th Congressional District. The former Navy officer beat former Republican state Rep. Young Kim. With Cisneros' victory, Dems will hold the entirety of Orange County's seven-member congressional delegation, and for the first time since the 1930s, the area will have no GOP representative in the House. Democrats will hold 45 of California's 53 House seats in the 116th Congress. More here.
